How silly to ever call some
statue a work of art
When you, under the damp summer
Moon bring your hips to mine
Moving me with you, the music,
And the sharp smell of gin.

How silly to imagine some
Tired sculpture sitting
With chisel and hammer to make
Still hips who'll never know
What it means to bundle up in
Winter and pray for heat.

I wonder if Donatello
Even thought to take his
Sweet Squash Face* hiking some autumn
Afternoon to kiss in
Secret between the trees; or if
He was just a big bore

Just like most visual artists

The Raven (but interesting)

If ever through my door you see
A raven flying over me
I ask you please, oh pretty please
To charge that raven
With tax evasion
He's a really evil guy and
I just want to see him punished
