A Series of Thoughts I Had While Watching All That Jazz

When the lady on the bed says that
“Everything is all wrong,” I think I know
What she means. I just wish I had some
Dickhead like this guy around to blame.
My stupid anxiety disorder can't wear

God, if i knew this dance movie was
Going to have this much standup, I
Would have set my tv on fire instead.

T and I don't really have nicknames for
Each other other than "my love." I am
Trying to call her “cream queen”
Because she used a lot of
Cream in her coffee once, but she

Watching this AirRotica dance scene is
So confusing and outdated and sexy it’s
Like seeing a physical culture magazine
From cowboy times. 

While I like the dance and the whole
Thing is pretty steamy in a pretty silly
Kind of way--it definitely doesn’t seem
Like the sort of thing someone would
Come up with if they fucked good.

From Martha Graham. Really see
Something new for once. Now

Yesterday was the 4th anniversary of T’s
dad's death. We spent the day together.
Took the bus for breakfast. Found sexy
Sandals at some thrift store we never go
To. Made shrimp and grits for dinner. Last
Year I felt guilty that we had had such a
Sweet night together. This year, i think that
There are worse reasons to have a good time.
And when she arrives tonight, I bet 
We’ll have a good time again. 
God, I love her.
