Okay, I don’t usually do this, but I will tell you the future. If Maria and Alex get together, it will be a healthy and wonderful relationship that both of them treasure until they die painlessly of old age at the exact same second; so deep is their bond. 
    But, if she leaves now to pick Whitney up, Maria and Alex will make a couple botched attempts at rescheduling a first date before eventually falling out of each other’s lives.
